The ADD40 committee welcomes Tim Sexton (Director, Office of Transit and Active Transportation at the Minnesota Department of Transportation) as the new chair of the Transportation and Sustainability committee. Tim has over a decade of professional experience in project management and transportation planning, with a focus on sustainable transportation, greenhouse gas mitigation, and climate resilience.
In his current position, Tim directs an office with over 40 staff who annually distribute over $100 million in state and federal grants that support transit systems throughout Minnesota. He also leads statewide bicycle and pedestrian planning. Tim has an MPH in Occupational and Environmental Health, an M.S. in Urban and Regional Planning, and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Iowa. In 2014, Tim also completed a Fellowship in Sustainable and Smart Cities from Tsinghua University and in 2016 obtained a Certificate from the National Transportation Leadership Institute at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis.
Tim will be supported by Tara Ramani, the new ADD40 Vice Chair.
